I’m Sahasra — a brand & graphic designer who spends a slightly unreasonable amount of time thinking about design, ideas, and why some things just feel right. I didn’t exactly have a grand plan to become a designer. I spent a lot of time overthinking it, waiting for the “right time” — until I eventually decided to just start. And now, well… I can’t really stop making things.
I’m naturally drawn to things that are bold, playful, and a little unexpected. Outside of design, I’m usually thinking about travelling, living somewhere new, collecting little bits of inspiration, or figuring out how to build a life that doesn’t look exactly like everyone else’s. I definitely don’t have it all figured out yet — but honestly, I think that makes things more interesting.
You made it this far. Might as well follow
Here’s my story
Well.. let’s see. I got curious about marketing first. I liked the thinking behind it — why people notice things, why they remember certain brands, why some ideas just stick. Then I started getting more curious about branding and the visual side of things. And somewhere between “I like marketing” and “wait, I want to make that”… I found design.
About two years ago, I decided to teach myself design. No design school. No classes. No one telling me what tool I was supposed to learn first. Just me, my laptop, a lot of tutorials, and a slightly unreasonable decision to learn every tool I could get my hands on.
So I did.
Once I started making things, I wanted to make everything. Posters, calendars, stickers, random little experiments — if I had an idea, I wanted to see what it would look like. Eventually, I started making logos for people I knew too. And somewhere between the experiments and the endless files, design stopped being something I was just learning.
And somehow, I’m here. Building my own brand from scratch, and figuring out what happens when you stop waiting until everything feels ready. I only started sharing my work on Instagram a few months ago, so yes — the whole social media thing is still very new to me.
And having my own face become part of the brand? Let’s just say me + camera = still negotiating.
Maybe I’ll get over it. Maybe I’ll suddenly become an Instagram person. We’ll see. For now, I’m just making things, posting them, learning as I go, and having a pretty good time figuring it out.
I love Friends. Like… a concerning amount. I’ve watched it enough times that I can basically let it play in the background and still know exactly what’s happening.
Chandler is my favourite, obviously. So if you’re a Friends fan too, say no more. And if Chandler is your favourite? Okay. We’re definitely friends now.
