Privacy Policy
What we collect through revemarque.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
1. Introduction
Revemarque (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a design studio working with clients globally, operated as a partnership firm registered in Tamil Nadu, India. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through revemarque.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have — no matter where in the world you’re visiting from.
We work with clients across multiple countries, so this policy is written to hold up against the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act, 2023), and other regional data protection laws you may be covered by. Where those laws differ, we’ve called out the differences below.
By using this website, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree with it, please don’t use the site.
2. Who’s Responsible for Your Data
For GDPR purposes, the firm is the “data controller” of the personal information collected through this site. As a partnership firm, all partners are jointly responsible for how the firm handles data under this policy — we don’t list individual partner names here unless you want us to.
3. Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to:
- Visitors to revemarque.com
- People who submit an inquiry, contact form, or project brief
- Newsletter subscribers (if applicable)
- Anyone interacting with tools embedded on the site (booking widgets, chat, etc.)
It doesn’t apply to third-party sites we link to (Instagram, LinkedIn, Behance, client sites, etc.) — check their own policies.
4. Information We Collect
You give us this directly:
- Name, email, and any contact details you submit through a form or email
- Project details, briefs, files, or references you share with us
- Newsletter sign-up info, if you subscribe
Collected automatically when you browse the site:
- IP address and approximate location (city/country level)
- Browser, device, and operating system
- Pages viewed, time on page, referring/exit links
- Click, scroll, and mouse-movement behavior
- Cookie identifiers, via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (Umami does not use cookies — see Section 5)
5. Analytics Tools We Use
We use a small number of third-party tools to understand how people use the site and to improve it. None of them are used to sell your data.
(Google LLC) Tracks pageviews, session duration, device/browser data, and general location, using cookies. Governed by Google’s own Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
(Microsoft Corporation) Records session behavior — clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, heatmaps — to spot usability issues. Governed by Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.
A privacy-focused, open-source analytics tool that tracks pageviews and site usage trends. By design, Umami does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses, and does not build individual visitor profiles — data is collected in anonymized, aggregate form only.
We use Claude, an AI assistant built by Anthropic, as an internal tool to help us interpret data already collected by Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Umami. Claude does not collect anything directly from your visit to this site — we manually provide it with analytics reports for analysis after the fact. Where that data includes personal information, it may be processed by Anthropic as part of that analysis, governed by Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.
We don’t sell personal information to these providers or anyone else, and we don’t allow them to use site visitor data for their own advertising purposes beyond what’s needed to provide the service.
6. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK/EEA Visitors)
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and analytics tracking (via the cookie banner)
- Legitimate interest — for basic site security, fraud prevention, and understanding aggregate site usage
- Contract — when we’re processing your details to deliver a project you’ve engaged us for
7. How We Use Your Information
- Responding to inquiries and delivering design work
- Understanding how visitors use the site, to improve layout, content, and performance
- Sending project updates or, if you’ve opted in, occasional newsletters
- Meeting legal or accounting obligations (invoicing, tax records)
8. Cookies
The site uses cookies for:
- Essential — required for the site to function (not covered by consent)
- Analytics — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity use cookies. Umami does not use cookies at all.
Because Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies, this site displays a cookie consent banner that blocks non-essential (analytics) cookies until you’ve given consent — required for EU/UK visitors under GDPR/PECR, and shown to all visitors as good practice regardless of location.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking analytics cookies won’t affect your ability to browse the site. You can also change your choice any time via Cookie settings.
9. Who We Share Your Information With
- The analytics providers listed in Section 5
- Service providers we rely on to run the business (e.g., email/hosting providers, accounting tools) — only as needed to provide the service
- Authorities, if required by law
We do not sell your personal information.
10. International Data Transfers
Because we serve clients internationally and use analytics providers based outside India (Google and Microsoft are US-based; Anthropic is US-based), your data may be transferred to and processed in other countries. Where required, these transfers rely on the provider’s own compliance mechanisms (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information to the standard required under GDPR. Umami does not collect personal data, so no personal data transfer occurs through that tool (its infrastructure is hosted in the EU).
11. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Contact form/inquiry data: kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, unless you request earlier deletion
- Analytics data: retained per each provider’s default retention settings (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity); Umami retains only anonymized, aggregate data
- Data shared with Claude for analysis: not retained by us beyond the analysis session; governed by Anthropic’s standard retention policy on their end
- Client project data: kept per the terms agreed in our project engagement
12. Your Privacy Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data; object to or restrict processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
You have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we don’t sell data, but some analytics cookies may count as “sharing” under CCPA’s broad definition — the cookie banner will let you opt out).
You have the right to access, correct, and request erasure of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time.
Regardless of where you’re located, you can email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and we’ll honor that request to the extent reasonably possible.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@revemarque.com.
13. Children’s Privacy
This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
14. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
15. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There’s currently no industry standard for how to respond to it, so this site does not currently respond to DNT signals differently — cookie consent (Section 8) is the way to control tracking here.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
17. Contact
Questions about this policy or your data? Email support@revemarque.com.
18. AI-Generated Content
Some visuals on this site — including product mockups and visual concept images — were fully generated by AI image-generation tools from original text prompts, with no source photographs used as reference. These are illustrative and do not depict real products, people, or events.
